Winter Baptisms in God's Garage!
Some people say that it is hard to grow fruit during winter. Well in the Greater Atlanta Campus Ministry we pride ourselves in bearing plentiful fruit no matter what season it is! In the past month our campus ministry has had 4 baptisms! As an added bonus, the Greater Atlanta Single's Ministry had 2 baptisms! One on the same day as Campus! God is moving rampantly and our new spiritual babies are ready for the battle to win the world!
Our first campus student to take the plunge of faith was Momotee Doe (Moe). Moe is from Brooklyn, New York and was baptized on January 30, 2008. A 19-year-old junior, Moe plays for the baseball team at Clark Atlanta University. When asked about his background and journey to Christ, Moe had this to say:
"I grew up in a household where God was number one. Like many other youths, I went to church sometimes willingly and other times because my parents forced me to. Also, growing up in my younger years, I knew of the Bible and what it spoke of, but didn't follow it the way God intended me to. I thought I was on my way to Heaven but after going through my bible study with Ibrahim, Ray, Brandon, and Angel, I realized that I was being mislead by my beliefs. This put some urgency in my life to be baptized and devote my life to Christ."

Next to be baptized was Nella Lindor. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Nella was often mistaken for already being a disciple before she was baptized because of her outgoing attitude and loving personality. A sophomore at Clark Atlanta University, this criminal justice major said, “Jesus is Lord!” on February 3, 2008!

Not long after Nella, Morehouse-man Marcus Green decided to get sins washed away on February 13, 2008! Marcus comes from McDonough, Georgia by way of Media, Pennsylvania. A lover of music, Marcus plays the bass drum for the Morehouse College Marching Tigers!

Clark Atlanta University is on fire this semester! On February 20, 2008, Clark Atlanta freshman, Jermaine Mills died to sin and was reborn in the body of Christ! This 19-year-old track athlete is known for being soft-spoken. But before his baptism, this Fort Washington, Maryland native had much to say about his journey to the Kingdom!
Jermaine was not the only one to get baptized that day! His spiritual twin, Denice Wade, took the plunge of faith as well! Originally from Idaho, Denice came to Atlanta wanting to change the world through “taking down capitalism” as apart of the socialist party. But now she’s in the fight to change the world through Christ! A graduate from the University of Idaho, Denice has the pleasure of being apart of the Greater Atlanta Single’s Ministry! Watch her enthusiasm as she comes out of the waters of baptism!

Only two days later, Denice’s roommate, Shaina Booker, was baptized into the Body of Christ on February 22, 2008! Shaina is a fashion and graphic arts design major at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Originally from Burlington, New Jersey, Shaina has already become a loving member of the Single's Ministry.

Then two days after that, on February 24, 2008, Jordan Webber was baptized! Jordan is the first Spelman College student to be baptized this year!
