STARTING FALL WITH A BANG!

"He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." –Luke 10:2-3

After just one week of school, the Souled Out Campus Ministry at Georgia State University has already seen God move powerfully after an amazing 39 visitors came out to Bible Talk in the first week!

A non-traditional campus in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Georgia State University is an extremely diverse institution of close to 30,000 students! This can seem a little overwhelming to 11 campus students on a mission to spread the good news. But if Jesus can take 12 ordinary men and change the world, how much can we do?!

Last year GSU witnessed God change the lives of 7 students. This year we can only imagine how God’s going to work. But we know he’s already bringing out the harvest. Last year, we had one Bible Talk a week on Tuesdays at the main campus at GSU that was very successful. This year we decided to add a second Bible Talk on Thursdays in a new dormitory called The University Commons which houses 2,000 students. We thought this would be a great venue and after much prayer, faith sharing, and fellowship with students, an awesome 32 visitors attended our first Bible Talk! Including the 7 visitors that came out to Tuesday’s Bible Talk, we had 39 visitors for the week!

God definitely answers prayers because the Saturday prior to both Bible Talks, the entire Greater Atlanta Campus Ministry met together at 6am to do a “Jericho Walk” around GSU’s campus praying for the school as well as singing and praising God.

The harvest is definitely plentiful and we cannot wait to see what God’s going to do next at GSU as well as at our sister schools, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, and Oglethorpe University.
