SPEAK BOLDLY!

Our sister Nia Reed is currently in London recording music…here is a story of how God has been using her to speak BOLDLY to those around her.

I've been studying out the book of Judges, praying for boldness and trying to remember why I'm here in London or even in this industry [of music]...it’s not for a record deal or another gig, or even for networking, it is to be a fisher of men. I get the opportunity to meet people that most men and women of God don't get to associate with, and I believe that God has entrusted me with this ministry because He believes that I'll do his bidding for Him.

I've been really intimidated by the big names of artists and producers that I've met over here. But the other night, in a session with top producers, singers, managers and business owners of the UK, I was able to share with the entire room God's Word and how it changed my life. One of the producers there was a preacher, one of the business owners was an admitted "nonbeliever", and the rest were "interesting" people. We conversed for about 2 hours, and while everyone shared their "ideas" of God and Christianity, I was able to share scriptures from both the Old and New Testament on God's love and Jesus' sacrifice. I felt like Gideon (after threshing wheat in the wine press).

Before we had began this conversation, some of the people in the room were cursing and talking foolishness, but the moment "God" was mentioned, it all changed. In the end, after everyone spoke their peace, the confessed nonbeliever turned to me and said, "Out of all this, what you said made sense and you've changed my mind." It’s not like the "nonbeliever" immediately confessed "Jesus is Lord", but out of all the religious rhetoric, he understood the plain things like: God lets us choose to follow Him and He lays out the costs (Luke 14:25-33), we all fall short (no one is perfect, but there is an expectation that God has of those following Him), the bible does not contradict itself, the old testament and the new testament are one (Isaiah and other books prophesy about Jesus, and the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John show this prophesy from the Old Testament come to fruition), religious hypocrites are in the bible, you'll know a disciple by his love, it's not enough to just believe, you have to apply the scriptures to your life to really be a disciple and only then will you know the truth of God (John 8:31-32), etc. All the philosophies of the night dissipated when scriptures were quoted to refute them. It was awesome!!!

Keep praying for me to remember the mission while I am here and to do greater things so that I can have access to even more industry folks!
