SACRIFICING FOR MISSIONS

It has been exciting to hear about all of the sacrifices being made to help raise money for Special Missions Contribution!  There have been successful garage sales all over the city.  A car wash was shut down on Saturday because of the water restrictions due to the drought, but people still stopped by and contributed money for the cause anyways!  And the Singles held a Game Night fund-raiser at Mac's Pizza & Pasta in Marietta on Friday night.  There was a Spades tournament, Taboo competition, and a Karaoke contest.  CLICK HERE to see a very unusual version of Boyz 2 Men, and CLICK HERE to see James Loney's hilarious rendition of "Friends in Low Places" while donning a cowboy hat.  (James walked away with the title of Karaoke King!)  It just goes to show that you can have a lot of fun while raising money!  Money raised during these events will go towards our Special Missions collection on Sunday June 24th-July 1st.  The GACC will celebrate the sacrifices made with a special concert after our worship service at the Sheraton Buckhead on July 1st.
