Brother Appreciation Night

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

This was the theme of the Brother Appreciation Night Sunday evening. The campus ministry men were blown away by the service, encouragement, and love that we were given by our campus sisters. It was amazing! Our sisters came together, worked hard and prepared a feast fit for kings. They met us at the door with our royal garments and served us every step of the way. They dedicated poetry, songs and scripture to us that touched our hearts. I could not contain my joy. I smiled from ear to ear the entire evening.

It kicked off with a game similar to the date game. We paired off in teams and they asked us questions about ourselves and our partner to see how much we really knew each other. It encouraged us as brothers to get to know one another on deeper levels. Soon after, we ate dinner. It was like a dream, all my favorite foods at one time. They gave us seconds, thirds, and fourths for all the brothers who like to eat. Just when I thought the feast was over, they presented us with delicious peach cobbler, ice cream, and goodies. Yes, I felt truly grateful to have sisters that go above and beyond for me. They looked to our interests before theirs as the scripture reads in Philippians 2:4. They displayed sincere, generous, and motivating love. Thank you all so much.
